Sponsorship Opportunity: I, Too, Sing America
Langston Hughes

The I, Too, Sing America Project is a multi-year initiative to elevate African American musical voices through a collaborative partnership with the Heritage Signature Chorale. Live concerts, panel discussions, and educational opportunities will shine a light on the contributions of African American musicians over the centuries.

In addition to live music presentations, CCS will curate and produce a video series of interviews with African American musicians and composers that will be hosted on our website alongside educational resources, free of charge to all.

Project timeframe: This is an extended project with opportunities for multi-year sponsorship.

Sponsorship Opportunity: Rebels with a Cause
Augusta Read Thomas, Composer

Women are critically underrepresented in the field of music composition, so we are doing our part to encourage emerging voices and to highlight the work of well-established women composers. Rebels with a Cause is an exciting concert project that includes three world premiere musical works commissioned for CCS on the theme of voting rights. The weekend of events includes a composer-conductor masterclass for women and a moderated panel discussion with the composers. A documentary video about the concert and related events will be released following the project’s conclusion.

Project timeframe: March 2022

Sponsorship Opportunities: Healing for Health Care Workers

Our health care workers have been on the front lines of the battle against Covid-19. Now, it is our time to offer them some spiritual healing. CCS will offer up to 200 free premium tickets to front-line healthcare workers for the 2021.2022 season as a small gesture of thanks to all those who kept us safe through the pandemic.

Project timeframe: December 2021 – May 2022

Sponsorship Opportunity: Eightieth Anniversary Season

In May 2022, CCS will celebrate 80 years as one of the pillars of DC’s music community. Through times of celebration and times of strife, CCS has provided a musical backdrop and refuge in the spiritual heart of our nation’s capital – Washington National Cathedral. Help us celebrate the past by looking towards the future as we recommit ourselves to providing extraordinary experiences for all.

Project timeframe: December 2021 – May 2022
