The Cathedral Choral Society is one of the largest and one of the oldest symphonic chorus in Washington, DC. Located in the historic Cathedral Heights neighborhood.

THE AUDITION

Auditions are about 10 minutes long and include: 

  • A solo piece of your choosing (preferably Classical)
  • Ear-training and pitch-matching exercises (i.e. we play something, and you repeat it for us!)
  • The audition may also include a short sight reading exercise

Regular rehearsals are held seasonally on Monday nights from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. Typically the season starts the Monday after Labor Day and concludes after the final concert in May.
