Amanda Palmeiro

Amanda Palmeiro has been praised by Opera News for her “bright-toned, vividly expressive” singing. The 2019-2020 season brings two role debuts for Miss Palmeiro; Butterfly in Butterfly with InSeries DC, and Papagena in the Emerging Artist performance of The Magic Flute with Washington National Opera. In the 2018-2019 season, Ms. Palmeiro made several appearances with the Washington National Opera, including her solo debut with the American Opera Initiative, for which she was hailed the “major discovery of the evening” (Washington Classical Review). This season also included appearances with Opera Delaware and Baltimore Concert Opera. In 2019, Ms. Palmeiro was the First Place winner of the Washington International Competition for Voice and received Third Place in Opera Birmingham’s 41st Annual Vocal Competition. She also received an Encouragement Award in the Mid-Atlantic Reginal Finals of the Metropolitan National Council Auditions and Third Prize in the Washington DC Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters Voice Competition.
