Meet Jennie Weyman

Jennie Weyman is delighted to join Cathedral Choral Society as Director of Marketing. She has long been dedicated to developing community within arts organizations, both amongst staff, artists, and audiences, stressing the interconnectivity of all operations and activities in determining an organization’s character and culture. She is likewise a holistic and human-centered marketer, with a passion for storytelling and clever creativity.

Jennie previously served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for The Washington Chorus from 2022-2025, where she spearheaded TWC’s full-scale rebrand, overhauling TWC’s logo, brand identity, merchandise, and website. She also served as the inaugural Managing Director of the Friday Morning Music Club from 2019-2022. Acting as sole full-time employee, she managed FMMC’s general operations, development, and marketing. Under her leadership, FMMC maintained its programs and financial stability throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to FMMC, she served as Development Research Coordinator for Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater.

Jennie began her professional career as a music educator, teaching for several years for Loudoun County Public Schools and at local institutions like Levine School of Music and Encore Stage and Studio. She received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from James Madison University and a Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her musicological background has been intrinsically linked with her marketing style, and she is thrilled to share her love of music history with wider audiences.

A local of Northern Virginia, and a lifelong choral singer and soloist, Jennie has made the DC area her home several times over. She is an active member of both Washington Revels and the Capitol Hill Chorale, and performs with local community theatre companies, such as The Arlington Players and St. Mark’s Players. Jennie is also a staff soprano at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in McLean, and previously served as soprano cantor and section leader at Church of the Epiphany in DC.

When not working or rehearsing, Jennie loves to read (generally cozy mysteries, fantasy, or historical fiction), travel as much as her schedule and wallet will allow, tackle new sewing projects, play D&D, and cook extravagant meals with friends. She and her husband John live in Wheaton with their dog Hattie and cats Sabrina and Poe.
