High School Choir Festival

A day of music-making and camaraderie
About the Festival
Each year, more than 300 students from schools in the Washington, DC region come together for a full day of workshops, rehearsals, and a magnificent combined performance. Under the direction of some of the nation’s finest guest conductors, students can expect to expand their knowledge of the choral artform, while enjoying the opportunity to sing with their school choir in the National Cathedral.
The day is broken up into sectionals, group rehearsals, individual dress rehearsals, and meals. Transportation, musical scores, and meals are all subsidized by the Cathedral Choral Society’s generous supporters. If you’d like to support the High School Choir Festival, please visit our Support page.

2022 Festival

Due to COVID-19, our 2022 High School Choir Festival is still being planned. Diana Sáez, Director of Choral Activities at Towson University, will return as our guest conductor when we hope to be able to once again come together in person.
