As you have read in our previous notifications, we, along with our peer organizations, have been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in the region.
It is with great sadness, but out of an abundance of caution, that we regret to inform you we will be cancelling all of our events up to and including our March of the Women concert on Saturday, March 22. In addition to concerns for our singers and patrons, our venue and home, Washington National Cathedral, has also determined it best to close to the public through March 25.
March of the Women was to be a very important concert for our community, celebrating and fostering the contributions of women to our musical world as well as the centenary of the nineteenth amendment. We have every intention of rescheduling this program and all of the surrounding events, and we will be sure to let you know the details.
INFORMATION FOR TICKET HOLDERS
We are offering three options for those with tickets to the March 22nd concert:
- You may exchange your ticket for a face-value tax deduction;
- You may exchange your ticket for a ticket to our concert of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle on May 17 (subscribers may add additional tickets to their purchase);
- You may request a full refund for the ticket.
Given the high volume of traffic the box office is fielding, we ask that you please email your request to email@example.com; however, you can also call them at 202.537.2228 if you need to speak with a box office agent.
Our hearts go out to all affected by the COVID-19 virus directly, as well as the many businesses and arts organizations that will be impacted. We hope everyone remains well throughout this trying time. Thank you for your continued support of the Cathedral Choral Society.
