STATEMENT ON COVID-19
UPDATED: March 10, 2020
As an active member of the musical ecosystem in Washington, DC, the Cathedral Choral Society’s mission is to engage people in the extraordinary power of choral music. We value your engagement above all, and strive to make our events welcoming and safe.
As with our peer organizations throughout the city, we are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in our region so that we may take the recommended necessary steps to ensure people’s safety.
As of today, Washington National Cathedral and the Cathedral Choral Society are open for business as usual. That said, we encourage you to read the recommendations laid out by the Centers for Disease Control, including washing your hands often and avoiding contact with others. Please take a moment to read all of their guidelines here.
You can also read about Washington National Cathedral's response to the outbreak here.
Our concerts and gala are scheduled to go on as planned. Should there be any changes, we will inform you via email and on this page.
We understand that those at higher risk may not want to visit a public space; because of that, we are offering two opportunities for ticket holders who wish not to attend the performance. You may call the box office at 202.537.2228 (or email at firstname.lastname@example.org) and turn your tickets in for a face-value tax deduction, or you may exchange your tickets for the concert of Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle on May 17.
Should anything change, we will be sure to let you know via email and on this page. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns! We value your interest and support during this difficult time.
